British cops have been busted for blasting out classic hip-hop track "Sound of Da Police"
as they drove their patrol car down a shopping street. Bosses disciplined two officers
after hilarious footage of their late-night antics in Chelmsford, Essex, were uploaded
to YouTube and Facebook. The duo was caught on camera cruising through the town
center with KRS One's anthem, originally released in 1993, blaring from the vehicle's
speaker. A police spokesman told the Essex Chronicle the pair had been given "management
actions." The track featured prominently in the 1995 French cult cinema classic La Haine,
a film about Parisian ghetto youths clashing with the cops.
