The F.A.B. (Fun And Beautiful), a Disney-ABC syndicated lifestyle show hosted
by Tyra Banks, has been cleared on the ABC-owned stations for a fall 2015 launch.
The ABC stations, which represent 23% of the U.S. households, have been airing
local programming and acquired shows in an hour that had been taken up by Katie
Couric’s talk show for the last two seasons. Disney-ABC had been developing potential
replacements under Lisa Hackner, who joined as EVP Daytime & Syndicated Programming,
ABC Entertainment Group a year ago.Banks, who also serves as executive producer, is
joined on the show by social media buff and foodie Chrissy Teigen, fashion guru Joe Zee,
interior design professional Lauren Makk, and do-it-yourself YouTuber Leah Ashley as
co-hosts. Banks will moderate the panel of lifestyle experts who also will bring in celebrities,
Internet influencers, experts and everyday people and tackle topics ranging from fashion
and beauty to food and design to doing it yourself and even starting a business.
The Los Angeles-based show also marks Banks’ return to national syndication following
her successful daytime talker. She also continues as host and executive producer on the
long-running reality series America’s Next Top Model, which she co-created.
