Donald Sterling who made a series of inflammatory and racist comments towards African Americans
revealed duing a recorded conversation has been banned for life from any association with the Clippers
or NBA by Commissioner Adam Silver. During his press conference, Commissioner Silver also stated
that Sterling may not attend NBA games, practices or be present at Clippers facilities. He cannot participate
in any business or personnel decisions or league activities. He has been fined 2.5 million dollars which
is allowed according to the NBA constitution. Commissioner Silver also urged other NBA owners to force
Sterling to sell the L.A Clippers. Sterling did admit that it was indeed his voice on the recording.
